Inquisitor Irae Illustro Vindixus III from the Ordos Hereticus is has recently lost his cadre of acolytes. Myself, Zita, and the others have been recruited to form his new cadre of acolytes. We were sent to the planet of Scintilla, the capital of the Calixis sector, to learn some more skills and get to know each other.
Irae Illustro Vindixus III
Inquisitor Irae Illustro Vindixus III operates from the space ship "The Vengeful Wrath". "The Vengeful Wrath" is, like many Black Ships, tasked with the collection of unsanctioned Psykers from the multitude of worlds in the Calixis sector, while visiting planets, it also collects Tithes.
Aboard "The Vengeful Wrath" another inquisitor also is present, Rafael Toth. By the looks of it, there is some kind of a quarrel or dispute going on between him and Inquisitor Vindixus, and it seems that they have a long history between them.

Rumor:
While attending a banquet, the party was occupied by representatives from all the noble families and the high brass in the Planetary Defense Forces and Adeptus Arbites an was hosted by hosted by the Adeptus Arbites. They were trying to sooth the brewing hatred between the noble families as they were forging alliances and plotting against each other.
Iquistor Irae Illustro Vindixus III was there to find out if some Heretic ideas was spreading through the higher echelon of the planet. After the feast a trooper from the Arbites found the Inquisitor bloodied and wounded againts a dumpster in an alleyway.

Rumor:
As a member of the Death Korps of Krieg, there were always rumours about senior officers and the war. General Vassily Kastovich featured in many of these – some even said he had influence on both sides of the war – Imperial support in exchange for intelligence of the Heretics.
It was against this background that particularly sickening murmurs started regarding the general trading the lives of a full company of Space Marines Corps in exchange for some spurious gossip – of little military value. Word reached the Imperium and Inquisitor Irae Illustro Vindictus III arrived to investigate and demand a price for the loss of a whole regiment. Working along side his investigators, the Inquisitor, revealed more and more of the generals duplicity, although the general seemed to have little concern about this, or even respect for the Inquisitor.
Suspicions started to grow that the general was protected at a high level, by someone in the imperium, or even the Inquisition. As the general fell under deeper scrutiny he was brought in for intense questioning – but demanded an Death Korps honour guard / observers to ensure the dignity of the regiment and co-incidentally the generals good name.
During the questioning, the honour guard could over hear the general ranting about protection – and in another outburst the name of Inquisitor Raphael resounded around the room. Whilst following up on the information the Inquisitors team disappeared. Shortly after a shadowy figure appeared at the apartment where the general was being held under close house arrest demanding to see the general, and when refused attacked the guards on duty, killing them, before moving against the general and beating him senseless.
Fylan, coming on duty, discovered his fallen comrades, drew his pistol and raised the general alarm. The shadowy figure bolted attacking Fylan, and beating him severely, but taking a flesh wound from Fylan's pistol in exchange. Inquisitor Vindictus was incensed putting the general in a cell for his “safety”. He could also be heard in a screaming match with someone over long range vox. Shortly after the general, what is left of his honour guard and the Inquisitor depart to take the general to trial.
The trial is a shambles with rumours of cover ups and Inquisitional pressure on both sides before a decision was made. The general would be allowed to die for losing a company of Space Marines, but would retain some small measure of honour - he would not die a traitor. Shortly after Fylan was sequestered into Inquisitor Irae Illustro Vindictus III’s service.

Rumor:
Found buried deep in library of the libraries of the convent sanctorum of the Adepta Sororitas on Ophelia VII:
Based on a transmission sent by the Astrov family, a squad of Space Marines and Battle Sisters under the command of a young Inquisitor by the name of I.I.Vindixus III is dispatched to the planet of Angiloth Snill to terminate a revolt and cultist uprising.
Angiloth Snill is far mostly used for mining operations. The planet is mostly uninhabitable except for three major regions located around the tropics where most of the laborers are living. Because of the harsh circumstances and the lust for profit, most of the laborers are ex-cons, and small time criminals.
Arriving there, the troops find most of the planet in complete bedlam and with large parts of it under control by chaos. Martial law is declared and together with the three major mining companies active on the planet, they try to turn the tide.
After heavy losses because of the daemon infestation, the exterminatus order was given and executed. Due to causes unknown, there had been no warning whatsoever to the forces and allies on the ground, resulting in heavy losses among the Space Marines, the Battle Sisters and the mining companies.
To make matter worse, at the time of the bombardment, two patriarchs from influential families (names not mentioned in text) in the sector and owners of two of the mining companies were present to oversee the operations and to assess the situation. Both of their crafts never made it of the planet in time.
Although the chaos infested world was destroyed and victory was claimed, all three mining corporations and the two families wanted revenge and blamed the inquisitor in charge. The inquisition never admitted fault and no blame was given to I.I. Vindixus III, but he has been counteracted ever since and his career was crippled.

Zita "The Adamant"
A young spirited, strong willed but stuborn woman at the age of 24.
Her dark grey-blue eyes have a piercing look, some perceive as uneasy, that do seldom reflect what is going on inside her head. Due to her strong will and stubbornness she was nicknamed "The Adamant", both by her fellow students as her teachers. As survivors of the "Battle of Shkring" following the daemonic emergence caused by the Kthal cult on Dwimlicht, she was taught by her parents to question anyone and everything. Even up till now, the true nature of the cults' uprising and the subsequent bloody batter of that cult and the siege on Dwimlicht by the "Flesh Tearers". When she was accepted by the Adepta Sororitas, she had a hard time adjusting to the rigid teachings of the Daughters of the Emperor. But by the time she had progressed through her training and became a novice, she had adopted the uncompromising, resolute, determined character that most people attribute to the Daughters of the Emperor, thus further strengthening her given nickname. |
